"We are so glad that we booked here. The location was perfect! Traveling with our high functioning autistic teen, so we wanted to make sure we were in a good location with access to everything, without being too overwhelming with massive crowds. Tucked right off of the beautiful red lanterned Gion streets. There was also a grocery store located one minutes walk away. Which was huge because no restaurants do take out or to go’s and there were nights that our kiddo wasn’t up to going out to eat....

"Be careful in booking this listing because it is not near anything. We spent a lot of time and money and walking to transportation. It was confusing to find the hotel and getting to other places. Only 1 staff person knew English. No good places to eat within walking distance. The room was huge which was wonderful, but we had 3 people and she slept on the couch, not in the 2nd bedroom. There was no bed in there. Great kitchen and washing machine in the room, that was a life saver. Only used the...

"The room smells like it has a bad drainage system. Once we enter the room and it smells like the toilet has been backed up. The fabric spray provided was useless. Attitude of staff were mixed, some discrimination were definitely present. Felt harrassed by the staff to settle the bill due to deciding to have extra guest in the room which we also had already decided to pay for. "
