"Beware non-Muslim guests! This is a dry hotel, and apparently consumption of alcohol is prohibited anywhere on the property. This was not disclosed prior, which is unacceptable! We were a couple staying one night only. We had the suite with a balcony on the 3rd floor. Booked through Expedia. The room is spacious and well presented. Good view over the river. Breakfast was excellent. Now for the bad: we were told as going up to our room in the lift juggling beer and wine bottles that consumption...

"This was a hugely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel but if you really have to stay here, demand a room in the Executive wing. The rooms in the original wing are extremely run down, tired, smell of damp/mould and absolutely not worth $600 AUD for the night. The front desk, particularly the duty manager (Naveen?) was very defensive and quite annoyed when we asked to see another room. At check out they tried to blame Expedia for overcharging us, rather than taking...

"I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. Clean, comfortable room with great water pressure. Probably the best shower I've had in all of Sri Lanka The location is great. Close enough to walk to the city centre but still far enough away from the city noise Best part about this hotel though is the receptionist Dilrukshi. Very friendly, personable and genuine. Always greets you with a smile and asks about how you're doing in a non forced way, you can tell she actually cares about her guests. Thank...
