"Isabella at the reception desk was an angel, rescuing us after 8+ hours on 4 different trains to arrive in Varenna. She offered us water, checked us in promptly and even set up dinner reservations for us when we mentioned we had t eaten since 8am. The hotel is strategically located on the edge of town right next to the water. Our junior suite was spacious and well appointed. The balcony was our central area of focus when we were in the room. "The room wasn’t clean. They didn’t sweep the floor. I had to mention it to the front desk. The TV has only two English channels at best. The room AC was always on 20 degrees no matter how many times I changed it. Some of the stuff in the restaurant weren’t very nice but some others were very helpful and nice."
