Adesso Hotel
8/10 Good
"Overall, this was a nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Ate dinner at restaurant once, very good food. 2 complimentary bottles of water per day. 2 lifts are handy and can hold all your luggage if needed. Wifi works fine from the room, TV has English channels. Fairly quiet.
Location is right across from Tiburtina train/metro station. Many places close by to order coffee, however nice restaurants are about half mile away. Wish they had been closer. I recommend Belli e Brilli for their pasta and Caesar salad.
Design is modern if you like that. However, as is the case many times with modern design, sometimes functionality is lacking. Examples: Toiler paper holder is on the wall behind the toilet seat and not accessible while you're sitting unless you're a contortionist. A/C thermostat doesn't seem to work properly - if I set to a given temp before going to bed, I'll wake up a few hours later too cold and have to turn off the A/C completely. No bar soap holder in the shower. No place for my wife to sit down and apply makeup. For this reason, I can't recommend this superior room for a couple - might be fine for a single. I estimate size of the room to be around 220 sf, not huge but not tiny considering this is Rome."

The Guardian Hotel
6/10 Okay
"The property is ok but for the price it is lacking. 1. Rooms were small, shower leaked all over the floor. Rooms were clean however. Mini bar set up is nice.
2. Rooftop bar. First bartender was beyond rude. Obviously displeased we showed up 40 min prior to closing. Told us he closed in 20 minutes and huffed and puffed about it. While waiting at the bar, he prepped two drinks and another patron came in. The gentleman I was with grabbed the drinks so we could go sit and the bartender screamed “ Don’t touch the glass it is my job!” then proceeded to jump out from behind the bar and gesture that my friend could make the drinks himself and do the man’s job now. Just childish behavior. I had no interest in returning to that venue. Evenings were cool only one of two heaters worked.
3. The breakfast was well stocked and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
4. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.
As stated, a functional spot but lacking given the price. "

Hilton Garden Inn Rome Claridge
8/10 Good
"The shower water is not powerful and it takes some time to flush the toilet"

Best Western Hotel Artdeco
2/10 Terrible
"I am highly upset with this booking — both with this hotel and with Expedia for the false advertising. This property is nowhere near a 4‑star standard. The building is extremely old, and the layout is inconvenient, with floors separated by stairs that force you to drag your luggage up and down. The interior is just as disappointing: ugly grey carpet, small claustrophobic elevators, and lobby couches that are outdated, worn, and dirty.
What made the stay truly unbearable is that the hotel does not turn on the AC until mid‑June. We spent several sleepless nights in a hot, uncomfortable room. Opening the balcony door didn’t help — it only added noise from outside and constant door banging from the wind draft, making the nights even worse.
To make matters worse, the location is far from everything. It’s at least a 40–60 minute walk to Trevi Fountain and other major sights.
Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. I strongly recommend staying away from this hotel."

Hotel Delle Civette
8/10 Good
"Clean room and property, only complaint would be the walls are thin allowing noise to travel into/out of your room easily.
Breakfast was delicious with lots of options and very attentive staff
Beautiful view from the top.
About a 50 minute walk from the Colosseum and a 10 minute walk to the closest train station. "

The Hoxton Rome
8/10 Good
"Calm. A friendly welcome. Staff smiley and helpful. Relaxing lounge/dining areas/bars.
Smart interiors, Room quiet and comfortable. Well located for shopping and restaurants, plus short walk to Villa Borghese Park. A very enjoyable stay.
Only complaint - ambient music in the evenings at high volume - might be an age thing !!

Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA - Preferred Hotels & Resorts
10/10 Excellent
"The whole Hotel was excellent from the greeting at the front, to the room, spa and gym facilities and the bar area. The bar staff were attentive and super friendly, the food was delicious. The location of the Hotel is excellent, it is close enough to be able to comfortably walk to everything, but also has the openess to not feel like it is in the middle of a very busy city. This will be my favourite hotel in Rome."
