This is a charming boutique hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Janey the cook and her assistant Anushka prepare delicious meals, which are served directly overlooking the sea. Villa Anakao is not situated in a tourist spot. There is a nearby fish stall on a nearby beach which is worth a visit. This hotel is certainly not posh. It is real Mauritius, but is nevertheless a great place to relax after a day of exploring the island, and a fraction of the cost of the much smarter big brand...

Beautiful resort on the best stretch of beach in Mauritius - incredible views and sunsets each evening. The hotel is situated next to the lovley beach.There is a beautiful garden with small swimming pool.The singing birds were waking us up for breakfast which was a buffet outside the main building.We enjoyed having breakfast in The sitting area with tables and chairs with a view of the ocean. This is a lovely comfortable apartment with an open kitchen, dining, living room area. It has everything you need for self catering and a washing machine. The pool is very private, has loungers to relax on and just shared with upstairs guests. Only a few minutes walk to a few nice restaurants. There isn't a beach in this area...not that we could find anyway but a nice area to visit for a few days.

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Hilton in Mauritius. The hotel's about an hour's walk from the town of Flic en Flac, but there are always plenty of taxis outside the hotel that will take you there.
