"The staff was excellent. The building is an older facility and some wear was apparent. The toilets were low to the ground, not ADA compliant, but there was a grab bar in the tub/shower; the front doors were not automatic, and there were no elevators, although I was fortunately on the first floor. There was handicapped parking."

"The location is good for down town and visiting the roanoke star , check in was easy due to the helpful main desk staff. We went as tourists but this seems to be very much a business hotel so it was quite noisy even in our room as we had late drinkers shouting and early risers with loud TV’s blaring add the rail track and dont stay here to have a good sleep. The bar staff, main desk staff and one elder gentleman who picked us up from the self parking with our cases were great. The younger valet...

"Very thoughtfully decorated, historically maintained, and clean accommodations perfect for a short or long term stay. We were able to do laundry and cook Sunday dinner without having to purchase basic kitchen necessities. It’s about a 30ish minute ride to Virginia Tech but a perfect small town getaway for an affordable price during football weekends. We will be back!"

"Not as clean as a hotel room normally is on arrival. TV sound did not work throughout all the hotel rooms. Kind of a bummer when you want to listen to the TV. Skipped he breakfast bar as the food looked like it had been sitting out for some time. Normally I love Holiday Inn."

"The office staff was not interested in providing us with Decaf Coffee for our room or Breakfast. Breakfast was so crowded, we went back to our room and tried later... still no tables to sit down and crowded."
