"The property needs major repairs, the booked cabin we reserved was not available and this is the second time this has happened. Hot tub had freezing cold water again. Poor cleaning and old rundown cabin along with everything in it. It’s under new ownership and unfortunately it seems like saving every penny is their priority and not an investment property. "

"Important Detail, the pictures do not reflect the room you get. The first pictures you see on the description show and in room whirlpool tub that is the reason why we rented in the first place that Room because it was our anniversary. That did not happen. "We had a nice stay at Lagonita Lodge for one night. The property is a little older, but it’s well maintained and has a cozy mountain charm with rustic furnishings that fit the Big Bear setting perfectly. The lakefront location is beautiful, with gorgeous views of the lake. The sleeper sofas could use new mattresses, and the bathrooms could benefit from some updating, but overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay and would stay here again."
