Wonderful place. We had an absolutely amazing stay, from start to finish. Saw every kind of animal and the guides and staff could not be faulted. The food was incredible as well, and nothing was too much trouble.

Everything about the room was very good. The food was excellent and there is a good selection of included drinks to wash it down. The photography hide by the water hole gives you a great perspective to get pictures that a bit different from the usual safari shots. The game drives were first class. Our driver was knowledgeable and keen to make sure we saw a great selection of animals including, wild dogs, lions, cheetahs and rhinos. He could improve his jokes though.

Arrived earlier than the official check in time to be met by the friendliest hotel reception we have ever experienced! The reception area itself was stunning, great views over the beach and a relaxing bar to watch the sunsets. Everywhere was spotless, very modern and comfortable. My husband and I spent nine days in beautiful St. James Manor. We booked through Expedia and expected a small room, but I think we were upgraded as our room (Boyes) was large and beautifully appointed, with a view of the sea. This guest house is absolutely gorgeous. The furnishings are tasteful and reflect the historical nature of this beautiful house, which belongs to Rovos Rail. Our beds were large and very comfortable. We stayed at the Villa at Auberge Clermont for 6 days. The villa is great - French country farmhouse style. Very comfy beds, large bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen with cooker, dishwasher fridge and freezer. There is maid service everyday. The verandah is perfect for sitting out in the evenings, and the pool is great. Very peaceful and trainquil. Well run by the staff and owners and perfectly placed a short distance from the centre of Franschhoek.

Beautiful lodge, recently renovated rooms. Service and food was amazing. Game drives twice daily. It was a truly memorable experience albeit a very expensive one, but you get what you pay for.

Such a beautiful property! It was peaceful and all the staff were very kind and helpful. The bed was so comfortable, and the room was nice and spacious. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Monwana game lodge. Nikki was a great host and Werner and Morris were a fantastic duo as ranger and tracker. Would highly recommend this truly memorable place to anyone and the small intimate nature of the lodge makes it even more special.

The hotel had only been open for 5 weeks when we stayed, but we were very impressed with the operation and the facilities available. Very large bed was really comfortable, aircon worked well and the balcony opening out on to a young vineyard was a lovely extra touch. Very friendly check in at the hotel - gave us a full tour and showed us the key features in the room. Excellent club lounge with drinks and nibbles during happy hour. Comfortable and well maintained.
