"This place is more for people who are traveling through for work. Even though the website does not say that they have a pool it does have a picture of a pool...very disappointed to find the pool was cement. Also had a very scary experience in the parking lot when I took my dog out to use the restroom one morning. "I appreciated the vintage charm and keeping with the history of the Howard Johnson. That made it fun. The room was a good size and pretty clean but it was missing some of the finishes that are nice to have; the sheets were kind of scratchy, the tub was shiny clean but had some bubbling of the coating which freaked me out when I thought I was stepping on something and getting around was a little confusing. Overall though, it was a decent place for sleep and a shower that didn’t break the bank."

"Property is very outdated. The linens and pillows are very worn. There was only cable TV, which was a little frustrating (couldn’t change the input to HDMI to stream or play video game). With that being said the room was clean, it is perfectly located on the beach (big plus), and the staff was very friendly. I know what to expect now and will visit again for a day trip"
