Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, or Pura Beratan, is a major Shivaite and water temple on Bali, Indonesia. The temple complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. Water temples serve the entire region in the outflow area; downstream there are many smaller water temples that are specific to each irrigation association (subak)
Built in 1663, this temple is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Bratan as a main source of irrigation in central Bali. The 11 stories of pelinggih meru dedicated for Shiva and his consort Parvathi. Buddha statue also present inside this temple.
Lake Bratan is known as the Lake of Holy Mountain due to the fertility of this area. Located 1200 m above sea level, it has a cold tropical climate

"We had an excellent stay at the property. Amazing, quiet villa. Friendly staff who were extremely helpful. The food was delicious at the restaurant. The hotel driver, Made, drove us to wherever we needed to go and gave us a great tour of the area, so definitely ask for him at reception if you need to travel around!"

"Heel vriendelijk personeel! Prachtige locatie, het uitzicht vanop je platform is niet altijd zoals op de foto’s. De plastic is ook een beetje verkleurd dus dit weerhoudt het uitzicht ook wat. Houdt er rekening mee dat er in de jungle natuurlijk veel insecten zijn, deze kunnen ook op je kamer zitten omdat de planken vrij open zijn en de deur is niet helemaal tot op de grond. Leuke ervaring!"

"Terrific interior and territory. and I`ve never seen in one house so many amazing and unique things and details. Villa is so so beautiful and cozy. It perfect for romantic time in Bali. Only ocean and wild nature of Bali around you. Also so pleasant and attentive staff, ready to help in any moment. We had a unforgettable time here. And after this rest i love Bali more than before."

"We had an excellent stay at the three-bedroom villa. The house is better in reality. It is very spacious and comfortable, well furnished, and the pool area is really pleasant bordering rice fields. The property manager and staff are very helpful. The only minus is the beach, which is quite unusable due to rubbish. You can walk on the beach but you cannot really sun bath or swim. I would definitely go back. "

"Super nice place. Very welcoming host and nice neighbourhood. The pool is nice for a dip on a hot day. The villas are so nice, airconed and comfortable, equipped with smart TV. We were in Villa 2, so a bit more privacy.
Highly recommended.
Loud neighbourhood dogs at night, but do not let that deter you from the place."
