"The hotel is beautiful and everything was spotlessly clean. The reception staff were amazing especially Frank and also the lady whose name I forgot who was working when I arrived very early and arranged a room for me. She also arranged two tours at short notice. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel "

"Perfect location - we stayed for 10 days in one of the rooms with balcony - excellent location within Stonetown where the only drawback is that it’s not possible to drive a car to the entrance of the hotel - very nice rooms and super friendly staff - excellent breakfast with a super nice view of the sea from the breakfast place. Very nice experience and happy to recommend the hotel. "

"I paid circa $50 for one night here on a work trip. For that price I think it was a complete bargain.
Location is great, no night clubs / chickens crowing next door so quiet. I didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on food (so many choices within a 5-10 min walk).
This is not a luxury hotel like a Hyatt or Serena. Instead it’s bursting with Stone Town character, amazing location, nice bed and bathroom with lovely staff. Will stay again and willing to pay a little more. "
