"Filthy mattress & sheets. They didn't even bother to clean the room and change the sheets/pillow cases. Everything smelled really bad with lots of stains. I had to ask them to change the sheets. When they changed the sheets, I saw the mattress is filthy & with lot of stains as well. Bathroom was equally filthy - with cockroaches and leaky taps. "Basic but good value. Unfortunately a long way from the centre – 45 mins if the traffic is light but up to 90 mins in heavy traffic, so not ideal for tourism. Also make sure you have address and phone no with you as taxis find it difficult to locate. One of the assistant managers – Chow – was excellent and improved our stay immensely. "I had the pleasure of staying at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai last week, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property itself is grand, elegant, and truly reflective of Chennai’s rich heritage, with every corner exuding luxury and warmth. A special mention to Kaamini Samraj from Guest Relations, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Her attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care made us feel valued and truly at home. From arranging small comforts to checking in personally to see if everything was perfect, Kaamini’s professionalism and kindness stood out and elevated our entire experience. ITC Grand Chola is already known for its world-class service, but people like Kaamini make it exceptional.
