"Very compact room but well laid out. Quiet. The only complaint is that it is quite remote and because we had not eaten we wanted to eat at the restaurant the evening of arrival. The lady said we had not booked and it was full so not possible which I consider awful service, especially on a Sunday when any shops would be closed. We fortunately had some nuts and apples that evening but it has put me off the place for any future trips."

"We stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon. The property itself is nice, it is modern, the room was clean, stylish, had great air con. Unfortunately the staff were really quite unbothered and unhelpful which made this experience not at all 5-star. We arrived with large bags and were not offered any help with getting them to our room. We were given no information about the on site amenities such as the spa, nor was there any written information about it. Later we wanted to get more bits...

"Loved our overnight stay at this historic hotel in perfectly situated in the old town with its own small car park. All the staff were friendly and helpful , breakfast buffet was excellent with fresh orange juice , homemade pastries and local preserves. Our room was large with traditional furniture / furnishings including a very comfortable four poster bed - no air conditioning but several fans , and a large modern bathroom ."

"L’immeuble est d’origine ce qui fait son charme. Mais je ne crois pas que c’est un 5 étoiles. Le déjeuner pour deux personnes a coûté €30 et le lait pour le café c’était du lait condensé. Le lavabo de la salle de bain sentait les vieux égouts."

"This is a really unique, beautiful hotel with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast, though expensive, was excellent. Recommended."

"Disabled room was large and accessible. Family room was also large with shower and loo in different rooms."

"Slecht onderhouden hotel waar alles erg verouderd is. Onze familiekamer was niet heel schoon met nog haren in het bad en een niet goed werkend toilet. Ook het eten in het restaurant en het ontbijt in de bar is zeer matig en daardoor veel te duur. De minigolf banen zijn in slechte staat. Het zwembad is heel basic al was het water wel schoon."

"Excellent stay — I only wish we had stayed longer. The room was very spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. I particularly loved the beautiful décor with cotton flowers, a lovely touch reflecting Troyes and the region’s textile heritage. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed for just one night, so unfortunately didn’t have time to explore all the facilities. Definitely a place we would love to return to."
