"The property is run down, poorly maintained. There was no mattress pad on the bed, only a sheet loosely draped on the mattress. We didn't stay, had to go re-book another hotel. It was a terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and keep looking. Don't be dazzled by the low price. Keep moving."

"We had often joked about the Huggy Bear Motel on trips to and from Indianapolis in the past. Shockingly, we actually stayed there recently when we moved our son into a local university...and it was great. It's a simple roadside motel that is in remarkably good shape. We stayed two nights and had no problems whatsoever. The AC kept us cool on hot nights; the beds, though a bit soft for my taste, were comfortable.
