"La struttura prevede self check-in con codice che non è stato inviato. Abbiamo dovuto chiamare numero islandese (un costo in più) che ha mandato una persona che sembrava ci facesse un favore ad aprirci. A noi ha risposto, altre tre coppie sono rimaste fuori per ore perché il telefono non rispondeva e la persona non apriva. Il giorno dopo l'hotel era chiuso dalle 11 alle 16, nel senso che non puoi entrare nella tua stanza e prendere la tua roba. Alle nostre proteste la signora che non parlava...

"Great location to get to see the Puffins on the clogs about 20 minutes away. An old hotel but the rooms were very clean and comfortable."

"The place is old but decent for being in west fjords, and the brkfst options were good overall but culd b improved slightly. We were on the topmost(3rd) floor. Beds were fine. One of the shared bthrm had a toilet tank issue(kept constantly filling up n taking too long). So, we just used one of the further ones on the same flr. We had some minor issues diring brkfst: one of the sliced breads had mold, museli was bitter, whole fruit(blk bananas n bruised apples) was not v gud during brkfast...

"Didn’t expect the front door to be open and no one at the reception desk or anywhere in the building. The key to the room was left on the counter. Wonderful small town vibe! Shared kitchen was clean. Breakfast was average or better. Sufficient. "

"Basic hotel. Comfortable beds. Feels like being in a cabin in the woods even though one is by the sea. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The water smells and tastes of sulphur."

"Lack of on site personnel made things a bit difficult as other guests kept coming in late and banged on the door at midnight when they couldn’t get the code to work to enter the property. Showers were cleaned but had a bit of sewage smell. Showers could use some upgrades."

"We booked two double rooms for one night. This was one of our favorite stops. There is a hiking trail that is easily accessible right from the hotel that leads to a beautiful waterfall and the natural hot pool is a very short drive away. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Hotel and both were delicious. There is a cozy sitting area that we hung out in for the evening. Great stay!"

"Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. It’s remote. We were okay with this, but if you’re expecting to be close to anything it’s not. We would have liked another pillow for the bed, and a hairdryer for our bathroom. The owners, and or, staff were polite but rarely seen. We had dinner one night with them. It might have been really good but it was warm at best."

"This hotel had a great location with views all across the fjord and mountains. It was in the centre of town so easy to walk everywhere and also free parking."

"What a sweet little place! We were in a top floor room with an ocean view. Room is immaculate and bedding super comfortable. We used the sauna and hot tub, also overlooking the water, and it was a great way to end the day. Breakfast was simple and easy. Highly recommended!"

"Wow! If you are in the area, do not miss staying here. The rooms are basic, but clean. The beds are comfortable and basic amenities are provided. The property is family run with help during peak season. Everyone is incredibly friendly. The staff went out of their way to book us a private horse ride with a guide with a 30 minute notice! I wish we had time for a guided kayak tour too. The restaurant on property has a bar open until whenever you leave and the restaurant's kitchen was open until...

"We had a very great stay!! Everything was very clean and the bed was comfy! The staff was also very kind, friendly and helpful! On thing is one of the showers was not working when we were there so the line to get to the shower was pretty long. Other than that one very small thing it was great! Would recommend to anyone coming to Isafjordur!"
