Upon arrival at the hotel at 3:00 PM — the stated check-in time — we were surprised to find that our room wasn’t ready. We were asked to return at 3:20 PM, only to be told again that it would take another 20 minutes. When I asked for clarification, the receptionist mentioned that check-in is “between 3:00 and 5:00 PM,” something I’ve personally never encountered before, and this detail was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process.
Once we finally checked in, we found the room to be clean, which was appreciated. However, the beds were unfortunately not very comfortable, the minibar/fridge didn’t cool properly, and there were no coffee or tea facilities in the room — which is something I would expect at this price point. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, but the rest of the personnel came across as rather indifferent and unwelcoming.
On a more positive note, the pool was nice. Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order. That said, the surrounding area is truly stunning and perfect for exploring.
All in all, the price-quality ratio was disappointing. What we experienced would be more acceptable in a budget hotel, but not at the rate we paid.
