Fantastic hotel & fantastic staff, I will be back.
This was a wonderful stay, I stay in hotels almost every week, I never knew what to expect with this one. However, I was pleasantly surprised, the food was fantastic, the bed was super comfortable and the service was outstanding. The room was delightful too, although I was upgraded which was amazing.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the staff as they were the friendliest and most intelligent team I’ve ever seen. The hotel is amazing overall.
Surrounding is great, quite. Lots of walks nearby. Dinner expensive and ambitious but not high end cuisine.
Nice rooms. Endless music loops in the dining room and lobby hall are a bit annoying.
The hotel was lovely; the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing. The common rooms were very nice and welcoming. The staff was professional, gracious and friendly. We spent a lovely cocktail hour in the lounge and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails. Dinner and breakfast were first rate! Local foods, creatively prepared. We went for an afternoon hike along the canal, which was easy to access from the property. Highly recommend this property.
It is a classy, elegant and homely country hotel. It is tastefully decorated and our room was excellent, clean, comfortable and spacious. Entering the Hotel is like entering a small stately home. The staff are highly professional, friendly and responsive. The food was also exquisite. It is not cheap but worth every penny!
Check in was a slow process and when finally shown to our room, it faced an outside wall. The bathroom was damp and the towel rail didn't work. The bed was less than comfortable and generally service at the hotel was extremely poor. When the above was raised with the staff at the hotel, they provided clean towels but did nothing else to try to improve our stay.
A lovey experience at the hotel. Very impressive getaway as your approach and had a gorgeous afternoon tea there. The hotel itself is very grand and the breakfast was delicious. We were in the Parry room upstairs in the roof and there were great facilities. Some of the decor in the room was a little dated but inkeeping with the period building. We went on a gorgeous walk in some of the stunning countryside!
Hotel very nice in a lovely quiet area. Excellent service from staff. Room very nice. Only small matter is the shower over the bath - not great as it linked to the taps therefore does not give you a lot of water ti wash. Otherwise everything was lovely.
Very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings, staff is very friendly and welcoming. I felt that the way it was decorated made you feel as if you stepped into a family living room which was lovely
We had dinner at the hotel since we where staying there and I know it was more of higher dining experience but when the entire experience is 2 hours long, that was a bit much for me. Also, the area to unload your luggage at the main entrance was extremely difficult since you didn't have the ability to drive through-you had to back up since the parking spots where all taken. There wasn't much in the way of ventilation in our room and since there were bees nests outside our windows, opening the windows lead to some unexpected "fun".
Penmaenuchaf Hall Hotel was a great find in mid Wales. It was a bit pricey but well worth it. The service and food was excellent. The grounds were beautiful. The hotel is away from the village and the road which provides a very quiet in the country stay. We would stay there again.
Best Uk hotel I have stayed in in the last 20 years. The setting is spectacular, the staff well trained, the food Is superb and the wine list is well thought out and supports the great food. I will be back and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to the most discerning of guests.
Found the hotel very pleasant however felt the staff were trying to arrange our stay around them. Being in our early 50’s felt that we were a bit young for the hotel. Food slightly over priced.
