"Had some difficulty finding the hotel at first thanks to our satnav taking us in the wrong end of Via Poncia through a tiny alleyway - from the right end of Via Poncia (marked by a sign for the Eurogomma tyre place) it's very easy. Plenty of parking, friendly welcome and check-in, useful lift to the upper floors, nice big light room with beautiful views. "Albergo Sala was a unique experience in the small village of Valbrona. It was quiet and not much to do but that's what we were looking for. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was wonderful. The inn is historic and has been in the family for a few hundred years! As it is off the beaten track it is advisable to have a car as public transport is infrequent and challenging and taxi service is quite expensive. Aside from that it was a great place to stay a few days."

"The view from our room was exactly as shown. The beautiful lake and mountains! We loved sitting in the evening along the waterfront enjoying the view and a glass of wine and table service. We slept beautifully in our bed and the room had all amenties. A wonderful stay."
