Excellent stay wonderful BnB! Superb location for a walk on the links, or into town. Friendly and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was excellent. Perfect stop for us on the North Coast 500.

Nice place to stay

We had a lovely one night stay at the woodlands guest house on route to other destinations on the NC500 route. The guest house was very nice as was the host. Lovely newly renovated room. We had a lovely cooked breakfast too.

Came up to Nigg for work for a few days. Availability meant that I could only stay for one night, but would have happily stayed here for the whole trip. Clean, friendly and an excellent breakfast. Exactly what I was looking for.

Nothing special… meh.

Disappointed in the lack of charm, information and service that generally accompany a B&B. There was no communication prior to arrival, and no responses to messages we sent or times we tried to call for information. Our reception was dark and cold with very little personal interaction. The room was spacious, but very hot. There were no blackout curtains, which meant wit was only dark from 11:00-3:30am. There was no information in the room about the local area, so we really struggled learning our way around. On a positive note, the Royal Dornoch golf club was close by and an easy drive. If I had it to do over again, I would stay in Inverness and just drive up for the golf.

Great place in a lovely location

Great hotel in a great location. Had it had a dinner option it would have been perfect, but other good restaurants are in walking distance so not a major deal. Would definitely go back if I need accommodation around Dornoch in the future- and also recommend it for others 😄

It is a lovely location and easy to walk to the town, however my experience was marred by not getting a double bed as booked, the boiler being broken and having staff placing column heaters in my room, but sadly no heat in the bathroom and then in the morning not enough hot water for a shower. Disappointing
