Top Dorset Hotel Reviews

Kingston Country Courtyard
8/10 Good
"Comfortable single room and bed, but near to path to other parts of courtyard, so some noise from passing guests. Bathroom/wetroom rather cramped. Good unusual dinner choices and breakfast good choices, but dislike dogs allowed into eating area."

St Leonard's Hotel by Greene King Inns
8/10 Good
"Really convenient place to stop on way to Dorset to rest and refresh before continuing journey. Room was spacious and had attractive bathroom. Receptionist was polite and helpful. The view from my window was a field and trees which I appreciated. Huge TV and very comfortable bed. Would stay again. My only issue was that I saw some dot grips on the bath beneath the shower and thought they would prevent slipping, but the bath tub was slippery still and I hurt my knee on the side of the bath. I looked for a plastic shower mat but there wasnt one. I wanted to report this to reception but it wasn't manned at 7.30am when I left. It was room 23. I didn't have breakfast so cant comment on that."

The Frampton Arms
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic location and very clean. The staff were very welcoming, efficient and helpful. The location is brilliant. Very easy to explore the whole of Dorset and opposite a train station, (Moreton) if you want to use the train. There’s also a bus stop opposite. We were close to the Tank Museum, Clouds Hill and the village of Moreton has a beautiful church with stunning windows, and it’s where TE Lawrence had his funeral and he is buried close by- you can visit his grave. Excellent location for exploring. The food was good and reasonably priced- we ate there on the first evening. The only drawback was the road noise sometimes during rush hour, but this is not the fault of the owners! A lovely stay and very reasonable. We were here during a heatwave, so the aircon in the room was appreciated. There is also a co-op close by for convenience too. The breakfast was generous and included too. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The Frampton family are also historically connected to the Tolpuddle Martyrs (the family were on the wrong side of history, so this was a fun connection when we visited that area too! ) Lots to see and do and near Chesil Beach, all the Hardy bits and pieces, Cerne Abbas Giant, Dorchester, Blandford Forum, Poundbury, etc. -all easily reached by car."

Fairhaven Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Staff there couldn't do enough to help. Food was very good though very limited. Bed was the most comfy ive slept in for a long time"

The Knoll House
6/10 Okay
"For the price I expected to have WiFi in my room. Told it was hit and miss. Tv was a small 15inch. There was one double socket in the room used by the tv and kettle. When you look at a high level view of amenities it states WiFi, outdoor pool etc, but you need to go in further to see that both indoor and outdoor pools have a surcharge etc"

The Jubilee Hotel East- with Spa Facilities
10/10 Excellent

The Jubilee Hotel West- with Spa Facilities
10/10 Excellent
"lovely hotel nice friendly staff 👌"

The Royal Lion Hotel
8/10 Good
"Clean Room Good Breakfast"

The Bull Hotel
8/10 Good
"Always enjoy a stay at the bull and would recommend it - staff are very attentive and helpful. Only downside was no kettle in the room and was advised to use the hot water that is generated from the capsule coffee maker - a slightly odd one as the water would naturally taste of coffee!!!"
