I recently stayed at the Hilton in Dothan, Alabama, and my experience was far from satisfactory. After paying for a specific room, I was given a completely different one that lacked basic amenities. To my dismay, the bathroom didn’t even have a shower, and it seemed they assigned me a handicap room instead.
I had spoken with Kara earlier in the morning, and she confirmed that my room would be ready upon my arrival. However, when I got there, it had been given to someone else. To make matters worse, the ice machine was empty and there was no creamer available for the coffee, which made the stay even less enjoyable.
While Amy tried her best to assist me by providing extra bed sheets to make a makeshift bed on the floor for my family, this shouldn't have been necessary. I paid for a room that was supposed to accommodate us comfortably, yet we had to resort to such measures. Additionally, my room didn’t even come with towels, which is unacceptable.
To add insult to injury, I was informed that I could have a late checkout at 1 PM since the usual time is 12. However, at 11 AM, my room card stopped working! This was just the cherry on top of an already frustrating stay.
I would not recommend staying at the Hilton in Dothan, Alabama. Unfortunately, my experience was a series of disappointments, and I expect much better from a hotel that carries the Hilton name.
