The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. "The location of the hotel is the best thing the hotel has going for it. However, the facility is worn out and has not been maintained. Carpet is worn out and dirty. Rooms are dark, furnishings are worn and dated, no attention to details (back on TV remote missing). WiFi inconsistent and addressing the issue not possible until the next day. Landscaping overgrown making walking to facilities a challenge. Sealed double pane windows have lost seals and are frosted over. I hope the owners will...

"The place was very clean with a full kitchen, comfortable bed, access to a large number of tv channels, and a nice living area. Not being particularly technologically savvy, it took some time to figure out the check in, especially since there is no check in staff. The tub sides were quite high and the shower lacked stabilizer bars, which made older folks like myself feel a bit unstable. The shower floor could get slick and result in a fall if not careful. "The property has to be repaved. There is broken pavement EVERYWHERE. The rooms need more lighting You cannot have no food available on property other than 3 sandwiches in the pub. You should be truthful about when the restaurant will reopen and should let people know when they book. Rooms were cleaned extremely well daily by the maids Mens bathroom at the pool was a complete mess with towels everywhere and uncollected garbage overflowing the can."
