"The top three reasons I booked this hotel.. location, elevator from underground parking, and ocean view. The photo on Expedia shows a beautiful view of the bay and Moro Rock. But our room had a huge tree completely blocking the view of the Rock and most of the Bay. Very disappointing. The AC was slow to cool the room, the beds were not that comfortable, the fixtures and furnishings outdated, walking barefoot on the floor was weird as there's zero padding under the old carpeting. "I had a great stay at the Blufftop Inn and Suites. The room was clean, comfortable, and appeared to be recently renovated. I especially appreciated the modern touches like USB-C outlets and a variable-speed ceiling fan. The bed was very comfortable—not overly firm like many hotel beds. The room also had a mini-fridge and microwave, which was a nice convenience. The location is excellent—very close to the Embarcadero and right across from a great breakfast spot. "I hadn’t stayed here before, and the location was better than expected! The parking was more than adequate, a little tight here and there, but not a problem. Our room was roomy and clean. I knew they’d remodeled somewhat recently, so was surprised that the mattresses hadn’t been replaced. I know it’s hard to do everything, so hoping that happens in the near future. We really enjoyed our stay, and the many staff members we met were all really helpful and friendly. Excited to come back!"

"I had a wonderful 3 day stay at Bay View Inn. Excellent location, walking distance to many of the great beautiful natural areas of Morro Bay, lovely shops, and excellent restaurants. The room was very clean and set up well, including a mini refrig, micro, and coffee pot. There is an ice machine on site.
