Top Downtown Newport Hotel Reviews

Newport Bay Club and Hotel

8/10 Good

"Great location right in the center of all activities. Very pleasant and helpful staff. They have gated parking lot. Rooms are little bit outdated, there was some old stain on the carpet in our room. In general, we were pleased to stay there. Thank you."

Bellevue House

8/10 Good

"Location of the property is great! Easy walk to Thames street and restaurants. Rooms were charming, nice, and clean. Only issues I had were the strong smell of Fabuloso used to clean the floors (strong smell lingered most of the day after cleaning), and the fact that none of the windows in the room or bathroom could be opened to air out the space. Breakfast was good. Check-in was a little confusing since check-in was in a different location than the hotel (1 check-in to manage four different properties). Checkout was easy, but would have been nice of there was a drop box for the physical key at the check-in desk."

Melville House

10/10 Excellent

"This charming, historic inn was the perfect place to stay in Newport! The owners have five properties and I would highly recommend them. The property was very clean and was convenient to restaurants and shops. We walked to dinner just a few short blocks away which was really nice as we didn’t have to look for or pay for parking. I loved the historical architecture and charm. It was well maintained and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again."
