Bellevue House

8/10 Good

"Breakfast was good, bedding was clean and fresh. Parking was fine. Check in was confusing - it was not easy to know where to go since it was not in the hotel I booked - they should let people know that before they get there. They also switched my hotel from Bellvue House to Inn on Bellvue saying my original room was taken (what???) Breakfast was not in the hotel either - had to walk down a few properties. Front desk was rarely staffed - most times I went there nobody was manning the desk or even nearby. Even for check out I had to call a phone number for assistance and they said to just leave the key. Overall, everything was fine, but I think I expected better."

"Overall, a good stay. The location is perfect, we parked the car once and walked everywhere. The big drawbacks are the noise levels from being on Thames Street (big red flag when they offer ear plugs at check-in), and the blinds are old, 70’s-style Venetian, with slats. They offered no light protection, and we were up with the sun."

Hotel Viking

4/10 Poor

"Poor service and waited an hour after standard check in at 4 pm for our room to be ready. After entering the room, which should have been clean, we found something quite disgusting on the bed so if the sheets were changed this item would not have been there. The room was obviously not cleaned. We ended up not staying at the Viking and checked into another hotel and had a great experience. The Viking was very disappointing after the so called “renovation”. We will not be visiting the Viking again."
