"The front desk does not stay open as long as they say. Their recording says they are open until 10, but--despite calling and leaving a message about what time we would arrive--the front desk was dark and locked when we arrived at 8:45 pm. We sat on the sidewalk wondering what to do before deciding to call the "emergency" number. Then the person on the phone directed us to the lock box via the phone and helped us get in the room. It would have been nice to recieve a message about procedure ahead...

"This hotel is a short drive to Monterey or even Santa cruz. It's not your average hotel where you wonder if the people are on vacation or if they're actually living there. It's right on the water which is near the Elkhorn Slough. You might see otters in the water and there are a variety of birds right outside of your window. The room was super cute. You have access to the shared kitchen and dining room in the house on the property. I will definitely be staying there again."

"Katrina was amazing giving us a personal tour and walking us to our room. She showed us their amazing work with Monarch butterflies. The views around the property are amazing. Breakfast was delivered daily and was so good. My only complaint was I heard the neighbors upstairs and our sink was leaking a bit. I think it’s because it’s an older inn. But it’s quaint and beautiful."

"The room smelled like mold and the property owner told us there was water damage in the room which confirmed the mold smell. It made me sick, no way to regulate the heat. It was super cold, they told us we have 2 comforters to keep us warm. The people in the room above us were super noisy. Over priced for the room we stayed in, furniture not comfortable. Parking was terrible."

"The property location was very convenient and closed to the wharf. The outside property is nice and well maintained. The room and the bed is ok. The only problem I have was the TV. TV needs to be updated because it’s too small and the remote doesn’t even work even if I had the front desk changed the battery. The complimentary breakfast is a hot meal of continental breakfast which is nice for them to offer."
