The place is old. Ilight was streaming in under the room entrance door. Water pressure not good i got scalded then icy cold. Then to tepid. The window screen needs a,major vaccum. . Umder the bed frame a piece of the fabric waa hanging there. However no bed bugs, bathroom and the floors were clean.

We booked the last room available in town. Found unopened food container just under the bed which indicates not a thorough cleaning from former guests. The worst part was instead of a decent mattress, there was a 6 inch foam pad sitting on a box spring. The pad was very soft and sitting on it you sank in at least 4 inches. Laying down you received little to no back support and each time you moved it made a squeaky rubber sound that would wake you up. This mattress was worse than any RV Camper with cheap foam mattresses that you find on a makeshift bed. We only discovered this after 10 pm because on our later arrival we went out for dinner and some shopping and came back about 10 pm and the office was dark. The hotel was not expensive however. We had been on the road for 26 days at that point returning to Ontario from BC. I can accept a simple clean room with a comfortable sleep. This room failed to provide a tolerable bed. My wife and I felt embarrassed as we literally squeeked through the night with every toss and turn. Ultimately waking up with a sore back. Had there been any other hotels to move to in town I would have done it. A comfortable sleep is the primary reason people stay at a hotel along the Trans Canada in the first place. This one was very disappointing.
