"We have been coming to the New Yorker for many years. Older hotel that's bones have some character. Some of the cheaper rooms are small. Staff is always accommodating, and location can't be beat."

"The hotel is in a central location; subway is at the corner. While it says there is no front desk staff, they do always have someone at the front; just in case. But the convenience of receiving all the information the day of is great! You don’t have to stress about making it for check-in. While the restroom did have some rust around the tub, the sheets were clean and the room it self was clean too. Would definitely stay again( I hardly was ever there just needed a safe place to sleep) if that’s what you are looking for definitely recommend. "

"Our stay in New York was amazing! The hotel location is incredible and made it very easy to explore the city. The hotel itself is very good, super clean and organized, and we felt very comfortable during our stay. We loved everything! As a suggestion, it would be great if they had a minibar in the room, as it would make the experience even better. Other than that, everything was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again!"

"I stayed at this hotel every week for about 4 months because of my job. The best thing about this hotel is that it’s close to everything. Grand Central Terminal is right next door. Times Square is in walking distance. The subway, metro north and the Long Island Railroad is next door. 5 th avenue is one block away. This hotel is a little dated and could use some renovations. The furniture is a little old. This hotel is a little pricey but the location is excellent."

"There's no elevator. There are helpful employees that will carry you bag up 3 long flights of stairs. But if they are not around, you're stuck carrying your bags. My only real complaint about the hotel."
