Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing.
The phone in our room did not work, and I had to call reception using my U.S. cell phone, which added unnecessary cost and inconvenience. Although I was assured the issue would be fixed, nothing was ever done — even after three days.
The hotel also overcharged us by nearly two and a half times the standard rate, simply because there was an American football game in Dublin during one day of our stay. This kind of price gouging is unacceptable.
As so-called compensation, we were offered a drink voucher for a local beer and a wine spritzer. My wife and I do not drink those types of beverages, and the staff refused to provide an alternative. Later that evening, the manager approached our dining table and gave my wife a vodka tonic — which was appreciated but came after the fact. He acknowledged my concerns and advised me to speak with the morning manager.
When I raised the issue with the female manager the next morning, she was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. There was no apology, no follow-up, and no effort to resolve the matter.
Overall, our experience was unpleasant, overpriced, and poorly handled by management. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone expecting fair treatment or professional service.
