"Modest rooms but with great views from both 1st and 2nd floor rooms over of Dubrovnik's old western harbour. It is a great location close to the local bus terminus stop at Pile for buses to ferry and coach terminals and to all western districts, and for starting a walk of the citt walls before the crowds arrive. First impressions are a bit down to earth with entry through a covered yard full of washing machines, but the main block is rather more spruce! Very friendly personal welcome from...

"The hotel is located right inside the old town and is just a short walk to the nearest exit at Pile Gate. Check-in is at another location but is close enough. The room is a bit small but is clean and well equipped with good quality amenities. Although breakfast was not included as an option, there is no shortage of restaurants nearby."

"Only downside is bathroom has glass walls that you can pull drapes for privacy but sadly no ceiling. If you need privacy to do your business it might not be the best choice. Other than that it is a great space up several flights of stairs."

"We stayed in Villa Kate for 4 nights in the top floor balcony room. The host was very welcoming and helpful, giving us a shortcut to the main road on our first night. From the main road, you can walk or take a bus to either side of Dubrovnik with ease, and the buses are very frequent. The room itself was very nice, with ample storage, a good view, great bathroom facilities and effective aircon. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it!"
