"This hotel was well kept and the room was clean. The reception team were helpful and polite. The grounds were well kept also. The rest of the hotel I wasn’t as impressed with. We were “selected” for an upgrade “offered” for an additional £20 but upon checking this it was the usual rate on Expedia, so hardly an offer! The room was very basic and it was a superior room, I dread to see the standard room. The shower was designed for someone under 5,8ft as I had to crouch to get under it. We asked for a quote room but I doubt there is any such thing as it’s right on the flight path, motorway and train line so it was very noisy throughout our stay. The walls are paper thin so could hear everything. The pool was freezing cold so my son wouldn’t go in it and the jacuzzi was only for over 16’s for some random reason, so as a family we couldn’t even enjoy that part. The gym also was for over 16’s too so another facility we couldn’t use. We didn’t try the on site restaurant as the prices weren’t cheap and you gave resorts world next door with loads of variety to eat and slightly cheaper. The positive is that it’s close to the nec and Birmingham int station. I’d look around for better budget hotels next time."

"Lovely well appointed rooms, very clean and the bed was very comfortable! Shower head didn’t look like it would give a great shower but actually was quite powerful. The breakfast buffet was perfect- lots of choice all excellent quality and now im going to have to buy a waffle maker for home! Would definitely stay again, perfect location for the arena which was why we were In birmingham. Highly recommend"
