"The whole experience was wonderful! My only draw was that with such a beautiful old property, that obviously wont have central air, they didnt provide a fan in the room. We kept the window open the entire time as it was unseasonably warm which resulted in some bug bites. A fan would've been lovely to combat the bugs and provide a bit of relief. The staff was lovely and the property quite opulent. I could sit in the window bench for hours hearing the birds. The dining was delicious. The falconry...

"It’s an older hotel, the other side of the bridge from Edinburgh so cheaper by miles. It’s decent with plenty of parking. Bar is open 24 hours in the foyer. Breakfast was decent hot and cold buffet style. Would stay again."

"The hotel’s location is very convenient, especially if you’re planning to visit the zoo. It’s also not far from the city centre, and there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel with frequent buses, so you don’t have to wait long to get into town.
The lobby and restaurant are both pleasant, and the swimming pool and gym are good facilities for guests who want to keep active during their stay. However, the pool is quite small.

"Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans l'ensemble.
La variété du petit déjeuner était appréciable.
Seuls petit bémols :
La fenêtre de la chambre était peu isolé et nous entendions fort l'extérieur même fenêtre fermé, les rideaux ont quelques trous et laissent passer pas mal de lumière.
Et pour être franc nous avions penché pour l'hôtel grâce a la piscine, mais l'eau et l'air ambiant de la piscine sont assez froid, ce n'est pas très agréable malgré sauna et hammam très appréciables, le bain...

"Booked through Expedia to turn up at the hotel to find out my room had been “cancelled” although I’d had confirmation from Expedia to say it hasn’t. Had to then re book the room through the hotel direct for a more expensive price. Sounds like a bit of a con.
Hotel is a 3 star so don’t expect the world, basics. Worst part about the hotel were the staff and the shower pressure was almost nonexistent.
Great if you want extreme basics in a hotel somewhere to sleep and that’s it. Otherwise look...

"From checking in to checking out everything went smooth. Loved the free water station to fill the included carafe. Allister at the service desk gave me wonderful recommendations. Location is perfect to explore the sights of the old town. Walkable to the new town as well. Directly next door is a cafe for coffee and breakfast. No AC but two fans provided and windows open kept the room cool. Definitely would stay here again."
