"The General Palmer Hotel is a special historic hotel. Beautiful and comfortable in all areas. A few things that would make this hotel excellent would be in-room coffee, complimentary water bottles in room, and more or brighter lighting in the rooms. There was not a smart tv in the room but for us it was a minor issue. Beds were very comfortable and the decor matched the feel of the historic hotel. "

"I skipped the breakfast. The room was very clean. Best location in Durango. Next to a bagel shop and train starion, two blocks from great coffee shop. Easy walk to Las Animas river and park. Deer roam the town, so beware if you are driving. Price was very reasonable. Kudos!"

"Staff were helpful and responsive to requests. The room amenities were better than expected: hairdryer, iron/board, microwave, small fridge, TV, coffee pot & supplies. The room was clean and nicely decorated - I would have the coverlet on my own bed, it was so attractive and modern. Bathroom was clean and well stocked with good quality white towels, although it showed some signs of age-buildup around the skirting and bath tub. I didn't use breakfast, but the offerings looked to cover all...
