"It was in a great, peaceful place on a canal. It was so peaceful and walking distance to everything. Easy bus ride into Amsterdam and Volendam/Marken. The Host and staff were very friendly, and very helpful. The breakfast was perfect to start the day. Would highly recommend."

"We had a pleasant two nights stay at this hotel. The bedroom is nice and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel location is two stations outside the center of Amsterdam. The staff so kind and very helpfull. Cons : When we wanted very early morning to check out, the elevator and lift near hotel wasn't working, so we had to walk around a bit far to the station because we were carrying two large suitcases and we couldn't use the stairs. "Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes"

"Property is very close to train station and zanse schanse and staff was very helpful in accommodating our late check in, holding onto luggage at reception etc. Only thing to complain about was the soap in the shower was running low but we also didn't try ringing the reception to ask for more so can't dock them for that"
