"Everything at the Mount Inn was excellent. It was easy to find, the staff were friendly, the room was comfortable, the shower worked well. Soap, shampoo, tea, coffee and milk all provided. Breakfast included - a wide choice - the full english if required! Coffee muslei and fruit for me was just what I wanted. Excellent place, I would definitely stay at the Mount Inn again."

"We checked ourselves in and left a couple of hours later (no staff seen). I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. I’m baffled at the positive reviews, it’s very basic and not good value - we chose to drive 2.5 hours home rather than...

"The first room was up 4 flights of stairs which was difficult having COPD the central heating was permanently on and couldn't turn it off, it made a racket all night stopped us sleeping, they eventually moved us to a bungalow which was much better but the hot water was boiling hot and could be very dangerous for children . There was NO restaurant or bar which was advertised . it was self catering but no shop to buy food and the internet on for 4 days Not impressed and would not recommend"

It's an old building which (if you wanted to be picky) could perhaps do with the odd update, especially air con and the lack of it. Was a really hot couple of days we were there and if the summers are going to continue to get hotter they will need it. "The room and bed was massive and both the room and bathroom was very clean . A little note on arrival was very welcoming and a lovely touch. Plenty of shops bars and places to eat right on the doorstep. The nightclub was closed so the only noise was from the seagulls and pigeons . Would recommend."
