"Wasn’t expecting a 500CHF deposit at check in… but I understand. Would’ve been nice to know before showing up. Also, there was construction work going on just outside so there wasn’t much sleeping in. There was cleaning staff each day so that was nice and unexpected for an apartment stay. Well equipped and spacious for our family."

"It's in the middle of a hill so make sure the taxi takes you to the entrance. The location is really great for walking around. There is a small park at the top of the hill. (2 min walk) with a wonderful view of the river. After that walk back down and explore all of the streets. We were only there overnight since we had to get up at 4 am to catch a flight, but it was very comfortable in room 11. "Fabulous location across the road from the train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free chocolate treats and fruit everyday were a nice touch. Restaurant food and service also very nice."

"This hotel was great. Perfect location right on the in the main downtown of Zermatt. They have a great staff, good views from the balcony rooms, and very accommodating. JUST A HEADS_UP: This hotel has the same primary name (Schweizerhof) as another upscale hotel that is in Saas-Fee, which is 1-2 hours away, depending on car vs train. Make sure you have the correct hotel that you're looking for. It's easy to get confused and book the hotel in Saas-Fee, thinking it's the one in Zermatt. This...

"This is a gem, located in the old town, Zürich. You can walk anywhere from here, including the lake. The hotel lobby is fantastic with a 24 hour coffee bar. Rooms are immaculate- The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in… Really cool "smart room" using an iPad. You can control the blackout drapes and the lights. For the money this is a no-brainer. Right off the Bahnhoffstrasse - Main Street."
