"Clean, staff friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast"

"Booked this facility for a spring weekend. The room did not have functioning AC. The bed was old terrible and floor was dirty. We were moved the second day to an other room but only compensated for a miserable sleepless night, with a coupon for a lunch in their 3 star restaurant, which was out of several items on the menu. "Check in was easy and quick. Room was nice and modern, with hardwood floors, definitely a big improvement over grungy carpet. Bed was very comf, and bathroom was immaculate. Breakfast was good, nothing special but definitely substantial enough to start off your day. All around good experience, would definitely stay again when in the area."

"We were greeted at the front desk by a very friendly lady that was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The room was spacious and very clean. It had a kitchenette which came in handy. A full size refrigerator, dishwasher, sink and microwave. The coffee maker was fully stocked. We felt very safe and secure there. The breakfast had a wide choice of items from pancakes and sausage to cereals and fresh fruit. Would definitely recommend this hotel as everything was great!"

"This is a really nice independent hotel with a lot of charm. The location is great and the views are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. We have stayed twice and will try and stay here every time we visit. If they had a food option on site, this would be amazing, but the town is a short golf cart ride away. Highly recommend for any stay in Southport. "

"Not worth the price. I stayed here plenty of times when it was Blockade Runner. Trailborn has doubled the price and I don’t really see the “upgrades” in the actual room. Shower is a regular tub combo and water pressure is non existent. Thought I’d give it a shot since you can’t beat walking out of your room straight to the beach.
