"We have stayed at the lamplighter several times, but it was years ago and the building hasn't been well maintained. Our room had no air conditioning, and our mini fridge broke and froze all of our food. We were provided a small noisy fan to help. Overall, there are better hotels with pools out there. We won't be back."

"The door (#2) had the push handle installed upside down and there was NO spring so that the door SLAMMED very loudly every time you went through it. The stairs were downright dangerous - my son (19) and I both tripped going up the same staircase. The room itself was fine, but I was miffed that the front desk could not give me a receipt for the room, nor tell me the cost of the room, since I booked on Expedia -- funny that the next night, the hotel we stayed in had no problem giving me a...

"Bath tub doesn't drain the water every time we take a shower The floor was sticky on the bathtub and it was very bad maintained. the bathroom has a very bad smell. the air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night and we wake up sweating."

"The kitchen had most of what we needed. Bring your own cutting knife - I do understand why a hotel should avoid providing a potential hazard. Breakfast was okay. Good but not as appetizing as other breakfasts in hotels. Room was spacious enough for 3 adults. Reception staff were very helpful and courteous. We will be staying there again when needed. "

"Be prepared to pay for parking. Valet is $40 per night. Which is extra and very expensive in my opinion. You can park on the street between certain hours on weekdays. Street parking is free on the weekends. There is a private lot next door but it's expensive too and does not allow in and out privileges. Valet guys were pushy once they realized your not paying for valet. One was rude and told me to hurry up and not leave my car in front of the hotel. Which very clearly allows for 15 min parking....

"Room was clean and new. Breakfast area was cozy. Price was lower than other same-level hotels but the quality was awesome. Will definitely stay again if I visit London in the future."

"Our stay was great. Check in and check out were so fast, there was no line. They greeted us with warm cookies which was such a nice touch. They also accommodated an early check in as we had a wedding to get to. Parking was $30 and when we returned to the hotel the lot was full, I thought for sure they were going to tell us we would have to find other parking but they instead gave us permission to park right outside the front doors. The rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet. Great stay!"
