Hotel Riu Palace Bavaro - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"clean and beautiful"

Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"The hotel overall was average. The property itself is decent and relatively quiet, but the experience was brought down significantly by the service. Most of the staff came across as rude and unhelpful, often unwilling to take orders or assist when needed.
On the first night, there was a leak in the room, which was disappointing and inconvenient. At the front desk, a staff member named Oscar even asked me for money, which felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional.
The food was acceptable but very limited in variety, so it became repetitive quickly. There was also a misleading situation regarding “VIP” access. The resort tried to charge extra for a so-called private beach, which did not feel legitimate and came across as dishonest.
Aside from that, the hotel is quiet, but almost too quiet. There is very little entertainment or activity, especially in the evenings, and it is not ideal for families with kids looking for engagement or fun.
Overall, an average stay with several service and management issues that need improvement."

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The resort was good, the room looks bigger on photos, the staff didn’t clean it properly, forgot to put sheets on beds, we had to phone front desk many times for them to come and clean the room. The kids club was ok, but the kids had unlimited access to uncontrolled YouTube on computers there. The animators were good but lack games for adults and seniors like lottery or bingo. The staff was friendly but many of them seemed tired, not smiling at all. The restaurants were very good overall. The beach was great. The tennis courts need more staff to play with. Victor, the guy who works for Expedia was awesome, very helpful and kind. "

Serenade All Suites - Adults Only Resort

"Didn't like the doors in the room had water damage "

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, All Suite Resort - All Inclusive
4/10 Poor
"Rooms were consistently clean, which I appreciated. However, I had multiple issues with housekeeping entering our room without properly announcing themselves. On at least two occasions, staff opened the door while we were inside changing to replace items like toilet paper. While I understand the intent, basic courtesy like knocking should be standard.
Additionally, after returning to our room one day to tip our butler, we noticed a $20 bill missing from our luggage. This raised serious concerns about trust with housekeeping. While the rooms were well-maintained, professionalism and respect for guest privacy were lacking.
Aside from that, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The pools were enjoyable, but I did notice a sulfur or “rotten egg” smell in certain areas, along with visible signs of algae and buildup near the swim-up bar and jets, which suggests inconsistent maintenance.
One of my biggest concerns was the lack of enforcement in adults-only areas. Despite booking the adults-only side for a more relaxed experience, we repeatedly encountered underage guests drinking, smoking, and occupying spaces like Coco Disco, the casino, and bars. This significantly impacted the atmosphere and ultimately took away from what should have been a more enjoyable experience for my wife and I. Many of the adults we spoke to about the Coco Disco often referred to it (mockingly or jokingly) as “Epstein’s Island” due to the large amount of children being let into the night club. "

Excellence Punta Cana - Adults Only All Inclusive

"WORST. FOOD. EVER.
I’ve been to many all inclusives, so my expectations were not high. The food at all of the restaurants was very sub-par. The buffet was passable, but unlike other all-inclusives, there was no dinner buffet (just breakfast & lunch), so you were stuck with one of the restaurants or - even worse - room service as dinner options.
The staff were a mix of lovely and friendly, and very grumpy. I also noticed many people NOT tipping, which could contribute to the grumpiness.
The room and grounds were very nice and clean, as were the pools, etc. The drinks were strong, which was a pleasant surprise. But again, I tipped the bartenders well!
If it weren’t for the poor quality of the food, I would definitely return here. However, the food was so bad that I won’t be coming back. "
