Best Western York House Hotel

8/10 Good

"We knowingly booked a small room. The room itself was clean and decent enough. It was an extremely hot day so could have done with A/C or at least a better fan than that provided. The bathroom was too tiny to be practical. There was no shelf in the tiny shower and there was not enough room to bend down and pick shower gel off the floor. Overall the price was very reasonable so we were not expecting the world. Staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable."

"We loved everything about our stay at The George in Rye Hotel. The service at the restaurant and reception was excellent and the quality of the food was outstanding. A special thank you to George, who kindly managed to arrange our food order even though the restaurant was extremely busy. His professionalism and helpful attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended — we will definitely return!"

The Burlington Hotel

6/10 Okay

"Travelling with a 90 year old who uses a walker. Stayed 22nd - 26th May. Girst day was told the lifts were out of action but should be fixed soon. Was the third and fourth floors. Moved 90 yr old to 1st floor after 1 day but still had to try and get upstairs with the walker. Ladies toilets are on the lower ground level. Spoilt the holiday with the stress of no lift. Sarah, the bar and restaurant staff were great, trying to accomodate. But with no lifts working the whole time we would not use again."
