"The room was spacious and clean but the air con didn’t work and the room was 27 degrees all night. There was basically no staff on hand and the ones that were there were overworked and not available for the most part. The meal in the evening was almost inedible the £30 steak was all gristle and I ordered a cheesy garlic bread which I came as a normal one, when I mentioned it to the waiter they didn’t do anything. "We enjoyed our stay at Makeney Hall. The first night we arrived late and the couch pull out bed had no sheets or blankets. The front desk staff was very kind and went and found what we needed and we were very grateful. The room was nice size and the grounds were very beautiful."

"Fabulous stay. Lovely, spacious, spotless twin room with very clean, modern en suite. Everywhere is extremely clean and very well maintained. Plenty of parking and a fantastic outside area for sunny days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Generous meal portions and absolutely delicious! We joined in the quiz night and were even greeted warmly (and helped!) by the locals. We will definitely be staying again!"

"Really really bad. Dirty, expensive, poorly maintained and had hardly any sleep due to kids screaming and playing knock a door run until 11pm. Wouldn't recommend - we travel theme parks around the world and stay in on site accommodation regularly. This was by far the worst."

"Booked here for mine and my partners 2nd anniversary! Room was bigger than I thought! (Good thing) Nice and clean! Air-conditioning which was a life saver with the weather at the moment! Ended up having a Sunday lunch at the pub next door to the rooms and it was the best Sunday lunch I've had out! Staff we're great and attentive! Would definitely return!"
