"Staff, service and food were excellent. Exactly when you'd come to expect from a Holiday Inn. Sadly however the room looked tired and in need of some much needed TLC with a distinct lack of beside plugs and although the room was at far end of the building and away from general foot traffic it was right above the air handling units and plant so was noisey at night. "Room was clean and had everything we needed, with the nice addition of some balloons and a birthday message on our return after a day out for our daughter, having told them why we were there on arrival. Staff really helpful throughout. Last minute decision to eat in the bar area (restaurant fully booked) provided us with nice meals, which was against some of the reviews we had read, so I am assuming improvements have been made. "Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was great apart from a tea stain on the skirting board. Ridiculous charge of £20 pp to use the pool after 9am and no spa treatments available, so basically we could have stayed anywhere rather than having a “spa break “. "

"Despite the fact that they are undergoing renovations, I really enjoyed my stay. All staff members were helpful, friendly and welcoming. I took great advantage of the pool in the leisure centre. My room was clean and comfortable with a nice outlook over the barges on the Quays. Breakfast was particularly nice for a self-serve, all food fresh and tasty. I will be back."
