"We booked a double room. However, two days before our scheduled stay, we received an e-mail offering us a free upgrade to a studio, with a full kitchen. We gratefully accepted. The property was delightful, and gave us the opportunity to shop locally, and cater for ourselves. There was parking right outside the door, and the local village was delightful. Recommended without reservation."

"What a beautiful area. We had a great stay here. Very comfortable bed, clean room, and snacks available. As soon as I made the reservation, I received a message from the hotel about checking in after hours. Do yourself a favor...don't wait until you're sitting in the parking lot at 9:00 pm, trying to get in, to translate the message. It all worked out, though, and we had a wonderful time. "We were traveling with a large group and booked the 4 suites offered at the hotel. The suites were fantastically unique, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had an amazing 2-night stay and enjoyed exploring Schaffhausen with Hotel Kronenhof as our home base. The included breakfast was a nice touch, and we also had the opportunity to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. I ordered the filet and it was fantastic. We will definitely come back to stay here again."
