Great place to stay in Edinburgh. The staff was amazing. Tony was very helpful with bags and passing on some of his vast knowledge on Whisky.

Absolutely loved staying at 24 Royal Terrace! Felt so welcome as soon as we arrived by the friendly staff/ hotel manager Jonathon. Rooms are great with a peaceful garden/ countryside view. Hotel itself is really nice with loads of character. Breakfast with unlimited coffee both mornings was also great. Will be back!! :)

This is a very pleasant boutique hotel in a Grade A listed Georgian terrace within walking distance of Princes Street. However due to it being a listed building there is no lift. We were allocated a room on the top floor and being pensioners we found the climb up three flights of stairs rather difficult and were fortunate to be able to afford to pay for an upgrade to a junior suite on the first floor we appreciated the discount to their usual rate offered by the receptionist. This room was very spacious, beautifully finished to a high standard with a very nice en-suite, a fridge with mini bar. Breakfast was not included in the room rate and while of a good standard in my opinion was not value for money. The continental breakfast consists of cereals, croissants, small pastries with a choice of two fruit juices, home made yoghurt, fruit salad and jams. Cooked items incurring a fairly steep supplement. I have to say all the staff were very nice, friendly and attentive. The hotel sells itself as being an art gallery as well as a hotel and the walls are full of paintings mostly of modern art which personally was not to my taste.

It is useful to get your feedback. We are very proud of our breakfast, especially our cooked-to-order offerings. With our continental selection, we try to be as generous as we can without being unnecessarily wasteful. An example of this on our continental offering is that while we do have two juices available on the counter (apple and orange which are by far the most popular), we do have several others in the fridge which are also listed on the menu. 24 Royal Terrace is a gem
24 Royal Terrace is a gem. I've now stayed here twice and I always thoroughly enjoy my stay. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated, kitted out with a very good ironing board, robe, kettle, selection of teas, hair dryer and several useful necessaires. The breakfast is delightful whether you order eggs benedict or porridge it is deliciously made and beautifully presented and they are able to skilfully accommodate even the most complex dietary requirements. Well worth the stay, great value for money and a great experience as part of visiting a grand city like Edinburgh. The only thing to take into account is that there is no lift, so you do get a bit of a workout every time you return to your room.

A lovely hotel with amazing staff - if you get a chance to do the whiskey tasting with the whiskey guy I would really recommend! It is more than a hotel, it is a beautiful art gallery and secret bar that makes it worth while!

Room was very small and difficult to get from one side to the other. On arrival was told wifi wasn't working and this was not going to be resolved; and on checking out there was no-one at reception. Fab artwork around the hotel.

Lovely little hotel in a quiet area. No stairs which is a bit difficult. No dining nearby and need to make the mile trek to get to any activity. BHowever very friendly staff and very pleasant stay.

Amazing stay
This hotel is tucked away nicely on the outskirts of the city but walking distance to all attractions/restaurants etc. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning with art in the hallways and bedrooms truly exceptional. A great 4 night stay!
Very nice stay! It was my first time visiting Edinburgh and I needed a good place to stay for 4 nights. Having a small room was actually quite cozy. Very quiet place to have a good nights sleep. Highly recommend.

Wonderful regency terrace building in a very good part of the city. No lift - for upper floors would be a challenge for some The hotel is full of colourful modern art. Tony on staff adds to the colour and is very helpful.

Lovely Hotel
the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The bedding and pillows super comfortable. In a quiet location but easy walking distance to the city. The manager Jonathan was very accomodating and friendly. Only down side there is no lift so if you have any issues with mobility, when booking, request a low floor. When returning to Edinburgh we will definitely book this hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Lovely stay
Beautiful hotel, staff all lovely, extremely kind and helpful when we had to extend our stay due to storm Arwen. Room was beautiful and comfortable, great views, breakfast lovely, and well situated for the city centre and Calton hill just behind the hotel, well worth a look. We would definitely stay again.

Loved the art work throughout. Had a beautiful room on the first floor, comfortable bed and great quality shower. Breakfast was good quality, great choice and plenty of it. Free on street parking in Royal Terrace at the weekends was a real bonus! Ideal location, an easy walk into the city centre. Bit expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

A wonderful hotel, perfect for a special treat. Comfortable, cosy, thoughtfully decorated and spacious rooms. Great artwork on display throughout the hotel. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and beautifully presented. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Location was perfect - a short walk from Waverley and within walking distance of plenty of great things to see and do.
