Lacking comfort

Over €100/night for a very basic room with window straight onto a busy road is too much. A very noisy family group let the children play outside their room in a tiled hallway which was not conducive to restful sleep. Disappointed that the buns at breakfast were warmed in the oven rather than fresh. The Latte Macchiato this morning was made with sour milk which is an acquired taste, though not mine.

Die Gaststätte ist in Ordnung, die Bedienung freundlich, das Essen ist gut. Das Gästehaus ist veraltet, teilweise nicht so sauber wie es sein sollte. Wirkt nicht einladend. Zimmerausstattung einfach, in Details nachlässig vorbereitet. Trotz der Angabe im Text von Hotels.com gab es kein Frühstück. Dies wurde bereits mit dem Chef kommuniziert.

Solid country inn experience with a history

The main attraction of this Inn being the 10 consecutive generations of one family running the place since 1648. The two sons have just taken over and the older generation still helps out - a very cosy, homely feeling and what lacks in refinement is compensated in personal and attentive service. The rooms are simple, but clean with good beds and linen for a relaxed sleep. The menu is solid German country kitchen with few twists and alternatives and nothing fancy or vegetarian.

A good wienerschnitzel and that’s about all

Very modest country inn. Old fashioned and outdated. Room lacking toilet articles and two lamps not working. Towels in all colours and shapes lacking conditioner. However, ample breakfast served by older gentleman, who was friendly and talkative. Only suitable for a single night if you are in transit on E45/A7.

Man war dort der Meinung das Expedia das Hotel nicht von meiner Buchung informierte, denn bei Ankunft erfuhren wir, dass kein Zimmer reserviert wurde. Der Empfang kümmerte sich ca. eine halbe Stunde nicht um uns nach dieser Auskunft. Alle waren beschäftigt mit der Essenzubereitung für eine Feier. Auf ein Getränk wartete ich die gleiche Zeit. Zwischenzeitlich wurden neue Gäste betreut und aufgenommen. Als mir nach 45 Minuten Ersatz angeboten wurde, hatte ich mich zwischenzeitlich schon selbst versorgt. Nicht nur schon auf dem Bild sondern auch in _Wirklichkeit macht das Haus einen heruntergekommenen Eindruck, Später erfuhren wir, dass das Haus sich schon öfter in Zahlungsschwierigkeiten befand. Ich würde es aus der Empfehlungsliste entfernen.
