room overall was clean and comfortable, but overall in 2 separate stays we had issues with the shower drains as they are not cleaned properly and as a result overflow with water and flood the whole bathroom area up to the entrance door

Absolutely amazing stay. We asked for a room near the pool and was upgraded, free of charge. We really enjoyed our stay and the room was perfect, as too was the pool. Breakfast was a sheer delight and the food was very delicious. Overall - Excellent.

Stayed several times and service and rooms always impress me. On this occasion we were allocated the recently refurbished rooms and they were spacious and well appointed. What would be called the 'norm' at Van Der Valk hotels could be easily regarded as luxury in the UK except at realistic, affordable and value for money prices. This property feels a flagship.

Enjoyed our stay

Lovely modern hotel. Comfy well equipped bedrooms with stylish touches. Good food, only wish they didn't charge 12+ as adults for evening meal when that includes drinks.

Lovely modern hotel, would stay again.

Loved our stay. We booked three double rooms for one night and they were all upgraded at check-in by reception team. The staff were super friendly. Rooms were modern, comfortable, clean and fresh. TV was modern with screen sharing which was great to see. Vast hotel with a decent size pool. Would stay again without hesitation. Word of warning food in hotel is expensive so best to eat outside of hotel if you wish to save money.

We were greeted with a smile and made us at home and went beyond like did surprise my husband on his birthday with balloons in the room when we arrived. When yiu request something they will do their best to accommodate you. The facilities all good like the gym and swimming pool and can rent a bike to go around the area, superb 👌

We stayed here ahead of an early morning flight. Refurnished room was nice inside but as they were still renovating we couldn't use the balcony. There was a function going on in the bar which meant we werent able to get some drinks & dinner. Given the rating of the a la carte we avoided.

Great hotel but rooms need a deep clean!

Rooms really do need a deep clean. Mold above the shower. Limescale build up in the toilet and shower heads. Bed had a big sharp piece of wood underneath. Windows were dirty. Stains around the room and wallpaper was ripped in places. On a positive note, common areas were excellent clean and looked great. The bar was brilliant and the pool/ gym far exceeded our expectations! Staff were very helpful and polite at every turn including the cleaning staff, security, reception and bar staff. We felt welcomed and helped whenever we spoke to somebody. Location is a bit far out from the centre for tourists but it’s not that bad with the great bus system. Better signage on the way in to point you to the reception would be helpful as the concierge entrance looks like the main entrance. Our last night there was a lot of loud children from the sports centre in the hotel drinking and smoking everywhere which was a little intimidating for a young family so perhaps extra security would have been good on a night like that as they were up all night causing disturbance. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!
