"The Retreat is gorgeous. The views of the Volcano and Lake are amazing. The pescatarian menu is perfect for vegetarians and pescatarians. All three meals are served. We did not have meals included but very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The pocket sized gathering places are charming - slider over looking lake, dining room and reception, the separate lounge area with tea and coffee looking into the jungle. The evening walk was fun.
The property is on the top of a very steep hill...

"Views, wild life and trails. Loved this place. No air conditioning, but you don’t need it unless you are very particular about temperature. It is very property. The road for 3 km is very bumpy. "

"The food and drink are amazing! It is a beautiful setting over looking the lake. They have their own farm on sight and we were able to visit the animals--including baby pigs and horse. Highly recommend!"

"Clean rooms and friendly staff. La Fortuna is about a 30 min drive. The friendly (Giovanni and Louis) make the drive worth it. We were able to spot sloth from the facility (guess we were lucky). I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget. "

"Far from the noise, right by the Arenal volcano, the view is WOW! loved my stay here
They also have a farm with cows, chickens and horses. I got the chance to watch them milk the cows and try to do it myself. The food is so fresh and delicious authentic costa rican! They have american breakfast option too.
The rooms were clean, no bugs issue. "
