Very charming and quiet rustic hotel with amazingly friendly staff! Room was warm and bright. Ample parking. Prime location. Breakfast included hot milk which made the drinks more delicious.

Worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. Sheet did not stay in, which I noticed on other bunks. Bathrooms were clean and water pressure was great!!

Staff was friendly and the place is cute. The beds were comfy. It’s more like a bed and breakfast. We planned an early start for a day hike and needed to pack some lunch for the trails. There was no fridge in the room and they didn’t offer any place for guest storage. Luckily we rented a car and it was cold overnight, so we kept our lunch in the car outside.
Very cute hotel with very easy access from the bus station in el Chalten. Close to several restaurants and amenities and with a very attentive and personal touch from the staff.
Nice little room a bit to renovate but with a charming touch. We enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much! Wonderful staff and ambience! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We had a tour that missed picking us up and they called them and made alternate arrangements.
Rooms were good size and very clean. Would stay here again!
Nice hotel in an amazing town. Walk right out the door and experience everything El Chalten has to offer. Rooms are small, but you won't be staying in them much anyways. El Chalten is all about the outdoors.
Staff amazing and helpful, clean, comfortable, quiet.
Room’s curtains need to be blackout to block bright street light.
Wonderful view of El Chalten peaks mountain from back window room.
Surprisingly comfortable. Not a lot of luxuries but we didn’t miss them. Super friendly staff.

Very Average
The bed was comfortable and the place was warm.
The breakfast was very basic and bland. We had a view of bins out the window. The room door was loose so banged all night due to strong winds. The staff demand that you give your key to reception whenever you leave the building, but then hang the keys behind the reception (which is sometimes unattended) which didn´t feel very secure. There are a lot of rules considering it is a hotel for customers and not a school for children. The most expensive place we stayed in in Patagonia and not worth it compared to other properties.
During my recent stay at this hotel, I found the staff to be friendly and eager to help. Even so, the facilities were another story. I found a defective toilet, the sink was broken and moved from side to side and could not stand, and a very uncomfortable bathroom. The heater didn't turn on and the wifi didn't stay connected. For what I paid I would have expected to have a better room. I wouldn't recommend it.

Very old fashioned room, the bathroom needed a renovation. The heating system was really good,m for peak winter stays, there is a small gas heating system in each room but for some reason it was impossible to turn off in my room and it was not that pleasant with 15 degrees outside. No daily cleaning services.
Overall I saw very small care for the clients, being lactose intolerant I have asked if the breakfast includes dairy free alternatives as soon I checked in. The day after the indicated me some milk as lactose free when in reality it was just standard milk, just after starting drinking it a realized it when I had already ingested some. They actually had some almond milk in the kitchen that they showed up later on my complaints. No possibility to do breakfast box in a place where most of the people go to hike before 7am.
The reception staff speak good English and they do their best but they don't really have any local knowledge.

Quaint clean lodging with friendly staff and standard Argentine buffet. Rooms are aged with thin walls. We heard everything from room next door, common area and front courtyard. Beware if you're a light sleeper. Conveniently located to main part of town.

Everyone was very friendly! Place is dated but beds comfortable. Very central location. Good breakfast!
However, negatives: weird rules! We cannot leave with the room key. And we are not allowed to have food in the hotel. This is really strange. Not sure why there are these odd rules. Hotels are supposed to let you be comfy and convenient but the rules were bizarre. Have never stayed somewhere where you have to give them the keys every time you go out of hotel. Seems like a safety issue.
The staff at the hotel is great and make you feel great about your stay. Unfortunately the rooms need to be renovated or updated. Again, the stuff is great but that is it.
Regretfully our experience with the facilities was not great at all and if we had the opportunity to go back to El chalten, this is NOT a hotel we would stay at. For the price you pay, I would expect to get a bit more specially this being a hotel and not a hostel.
We had a fantastic 5 night stay here during our time in El Chalten. Eugenia who was the hotel receptionist was amazing and greeted us with a friendly smile every day.
The room was very neglected. Mattresses were uncomfortable, room was dusty, the shower leaked, the floor drain lid wasn’t glued in, the bathroom light switch was hanging out of the wall and so on. We slept poorly both nights as the curtains did not block out any morning light and in addition there was a row of street lamps shining into our room.
However the most troubling was a handleless door that appeared to be a fire escape door that had no stairs to take you to ground level. This is a an older wooden building (on the inside) that could be overcome quickly by a fire with only a central staircase as a means of escape.
The hotel was great! They offered the best exchange rate in town (exactly the blue rate) and held our suitcases for five days while we went hiking. The room was small but super clean, and everything worked. Would stay here again.
