Really liked staying here. All staff were kind and helpful. Cracking TV channels. Lots of choices

Overall we had a great stay Staff were very friendly and most helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Definitely would stay again Thank you to all the staff that looked after us.

great room for families , would recommend for near airport stays

Easy to get to from Airport. Clean and friendly place. Decent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Close to Mall (2 minute walk). Access to NYC by bus from Mall.

Thanks

Clean room, nice hotel did the job. Front desk staff were a bit cold and grumpy. Limited towels in the room

Spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

Make sure to get a room on the 2ndFl. First floor kind of old and worn. Everything is new with marble bathroom walls on the 2ndFl. Front desk very okay with changing rooms if hit with the first floor

I stayed for 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed my time. My every need was catered for, fresh towels and soap and shampoo whenever I needed, free breakfast daily, on site laundry, snack and drinks vending machines and staff at the reception 24 hours per day. Even during the night if you need to ask for some assistance there is a staff member at reception. Staff even called a taxi for me when I needed. All in all I enjoyed my stay so much. It was my second time staying at this hotel, and everytime I...

Really nice hotel with a pleasant roof terrace and great staff; the free coffee all day was a nice touch as were the free croissants first thing. Lots of interesting food options nearby - iconic dining at: The Roxy; Bubby’s and Katz Diner were all only a short walk away. There are good transport connections via the nearby subway station and it sits in a very friendly and safe neighbourhood on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy.

Excellent team flexible check in and great location. Room and hote immaculate

My daughter and I had a trip to New York for our big birthdays, hotel was very central close to port authority, walking distance to time square and many other areas. Hotel staff made our visit special for us and are very helpful , friendly , professional and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would avoid 9th Avenue at night time as it didn’t feel very safe .

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about Kixby. The location is as safe as it gets, easy walking distance from Penn Station if you come in by LIRR/Airtrain from JFK(30 mins hassle free way to get into Manhattan) and the subway is 50 yards from the front door. There are the best selection of bars, restaurants and eateries within minutes of the hotel as well as Maddison Square Garden and the Empire State Building. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and informative, you get a free water...

We arrived a little after 3pm, and had a lovely greeting from staff, but our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait. We booked and paid through Expedia… an Empire via room with living space. Please note that the hotel does not offer this type of room. None of their Empire View rooms have the separate living room area. The Empire view rooms do give a great view of the Empire State Building but their ‘living room’ is a tiny space with a chaise and a TV. Management were excellent with us and moved us...

Excellent location just four minutes’ walk from 9/11 Memorial Pools and Museum. Warm welcome from staff. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent bar area in the evening and efficient good value breakfast deli.

Such a great stay here. Right in midtown Manhattan in the heart of the action but at a really reasonable price. The room was small but immaculate. I requested a higher room with a view and the hotel did exactly that for us - the 21st floor with a beautiful view to wake up to. I would definitely recommend staying at CIVILIAN and I would definitely stay here again.
