The off the beaten track hotels were far better than the name brand place. Days Inn in Cave City Ky needs new hoyse keeping. The desk help was great.

Hotels.com could improve by includind taxes and all applicable charges. In other words, a price guarentee. The motel itself was fine.

Property was a bit run down. Although it was non smoking property there were cigarette butts everywhere. Room however was clean comfortable.

I drove 15 hors to find out that my room had been cancelled 2 days before I booked it. Was told it was not their problem. I got an e-mail 1 day before asking me to confirm arrival time. Nice to find when you are attending a Bourbon Festival. I would not recement this place anyone.

Don't stay here!

The room was dated but had fresh paint and a flat screen t.v. good air conditioning. But, the bathroom had chipped tile like they were in the process of redoing it but then stopped. The sign says pool, but when asked about it, the management says they had to close it mid-season. When traveling down the alley like hallway the get to the courtyard is that has the pool, you get to an old dingy screen door. When you look outside you see a broken set of old wooden cellar doors, with nails sticking out and a hole where one could easily fall through. The hot tub, or what once was the hot tub, is a broken tiled and moldy hole. The people that stayed next to us kept trying to walk into our room. Several were drunk and high.

Cheap older motel at regular hotel prices. Staff was friendly but accommodations were very outdated and over-priced.

The room was clean. The room had everything you needed (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, basic toiletries. The price was very good. The problem was the room was dated and the worst thing was the outside with the property needing painting and weeding etc.... overall, I would stay here again for a clean and very economical room but it is such a shame how a little sprucing could make this a doll house.

Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean. The overall condition of the property is a bit sad. Definitely needs freshening up inside and out, new linens and pillows. With that said, the rooms were clean and the location convenient which were the most important things to us.

Ok,

Motel was ok, but higher priced for what it was. Loud fighting in next room at 5 am. Not motels fault. There was no breakfast, which was ok, we were told about a restaurant across the street. Couldn’t see it until you left the motel, wasn’t given good directions to it. Room had a smell, so we left door open for a bit,and it went away. Probably would stay some where else if we stay in that town again.

Not a five star, but it was 1. Clean 2. Quiet 3. Close enough to the town center to walk 4. I like parking in front of the room. Check-in is a bit funky - no going into the lobby, the young son comes to a slot in the front window & cards & keys are handed back & forth through the slot. Mad me think - is this place THAT dangerous? Nothing else indicated risk.

old and rundown

Old hotel with windows that were old and moldy, curtains do not cover window so light comes in early morning, the carpet in the room smelled like sour bourbon, the toilet was extremely small and very difficult for a grown man to use. There were spiders in the room. We asked for a third bathroom towel and were refused. Would never stay here again

For a basic place to rest for the night, this was just ok. Our room smelled like smoke, even though the attendant DJ assured us that nobody smoked in the room. However, we found that there was a chair and ash tray right outside the room next to the AC unit, which sucks air into the room. The room itself was very basic. I recommend this place if you are mainly interested in low cost and your expectations are not high.

I left and demanded a refund (which they gave without question). There was a strong smell of cigarettes in the room, there were holes in the walls, and people were smoking marijuana openly in the parking lot. The staff could not have been warmer or nicer, but they really really really need to take some control of their property.
